GLOUCESTERSHIRE, England – JK Rowling announces today in a press conference that she is planning to release her 9th Harry Potter book, and she is already gathering materials to start working on the novel. Rowling said that this book will introduce a new twist to the life of the now adult superhero Harry Potter.

Fans may remember that last year, almost eight months after the release of what was supposedly the last installment of the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", Rowling made an announcement that she is already working on the 8th Harry Potter book. This came as a total surprise because everybody at that time assumed that since the 7th book was the last of the series, Rowling was working on a completely new novel.
When rumors began to circulate that what Rowling was working on is another installment of the extremely popular series, Rowling decided to release a statement that she was indeed working on an 8th novel, which was to center on Harry's love affairs with two minor characters that were briefly mentioned in the 3rd installment of the series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
It was in January of this year that Harry Potter and the Muggle Maiden, the 8th book in the series, was released. During its release it was dubbed as the "second final Harry Potter book". This 8th book became a huge international success, selling 12 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release in the United Kingdom and the United States, breaking its predecessor's record. After its release, Rowling declared that she is not planning on writing a 9th book. "The Muggle Maiden is the last of the Harry Potter series", she declared.

Today however, Rowling released a sensational announcement that she is working on a 9th book. This was barely over a year since her equally sensational announcement of the 8th, and only two months after the release of Harry Potter and the Muggle Maiden. When asked for the reason why she started working on this 9th book, Rowling said that Harry "just simply refused to go away" in her mind. "Harry's story continues to unfold everyday, and there are a great many things that still needs to be told about Harry Potter."

"There was one morning that I woke up almost literally smelling Harry in the air", Rowling said. "Then I saw in my mind the things that Harry would be doing as he lives his life today, things that he planned to do tomorrow. And then I got this feeling that it was wrong for Harry's story to have ended at his wedding day."
When asked what this 9th book would be about, Rowling refused to divulge anything except that fans will discover something entirely new and unexpected in Harry's life. "Harry is now supposedly living his life as an adult, and as a husband, juggling a career in both the real and the magic world. There are a thousand and one ways that his complicated life could get more complicated."

The final question that Rowling had to answer at the end of the press conference was if she already has plans for a 10th book, to which she answered "Only time will tell." Rowling then smiled and waved her hand as she left her audience scratching their heads.
